Before we discovered natural products, D's poor hair was lacking the moisture and hydration it needed. The retail store bought products we were using contained mineral oil and petroleum, which can make the hair shiny, so it may appear to be hydrated and healthy, but there is no true nutrients in petroleum based products. Once I realized this and read studies linking petroleum and mineral oil to cancer, I threw out all of D's hair products that contained those ingredients!
