It is no secret that we love coconut oil in our household. We use it on hair, skin and of course for cooking. Tropical Traditions is a great source for coconut oil, information on coconut oil and many other organic foods and natural products. I got the opportunity to try their Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil. The process they use to get the coconut oil is very interesting, it is extracted by grating the fresh coconut, extracting the coconut milk, and then letting the coconut milk stand in a covered container for about 24 hours. After about 24 hours, the oil naturally separates from the water producing a crystal clear oil that retains the full scent and taste of coconuts.
