While I love the traditional beads on braids, Sidewinder Hair Holders have a unique look and can be used without rubber bands that have a tendency to be damaging to the hair. Sidewinder Hair Holders are considered to be an easy and fast alternative to hair beads. They are actually not that difficult to put in, despite what one may think upon first glance, there is a very easy to follow video tutorial on how they work on their website.
The concept of Sidewinders was born while the owner, Susan, was on a camping trip. She was surrounded by colorful twisted wind spinners on various RV’s and thought “Gee, that sure would look cute in the hair…” And she was right! They make an awesome hair accessory. Here is our collection of Sidewinder Hairholders:
Each piece is actually two pieces that “wind” apart (and wind back together), thus the colors can be interchanged and mixed and matched anyway you like.
The Sidewinders come in 3 different sizes, 3”, 2”. and 1”
You can visit their website to see their full selection of colors, sets, and pricing.
For the “A Blogtastic Extravaganza” we’ve got coming up in August (17th-22), Susan from Sidewinders has generously offered to sponsor us by providing 1 winner with 2 sets of 2” Sidewinder Hair Holders. Each of these sets will include ten 2” sidewinders:
